March 21 - we're headed to Paso Robles

Do you, or someone you know, live in (or near) Paso Robles?

Then send them to this page right HERE so they can go buy tickets to a wine, pizza, and funky jams party.

We’re headed down to play at Vines on the Marycrest. It’s a winery that was purchased by a former music engineer who just can’t quit that music thing. (Once you’re in, there’s no getting out. Like a real dangerous gang, or a terrible addiction… or a deep and abiding love.) So he brings super rad and cool and supremely funky bands to his winery to play wine release parties.

That’s what we’ll be doing.

There were lots of details he mentioned, but he had me at wood fired pizza. I just stopped listening after that. I’m in for wood fired pizza. What do you want me to do? I’ll do it. For a wood fired pizza.

So come out and catch us. Tell your SLO/Paso Robles/Central Coast homies that we’ll be there. I’ll be having an out of body, hallucinogenic, ecstatic vision quest fueled by wood fired pizzas.

But I’ll also play some bass. Promise.

Pain Au Chocolat - Single & Video out now!

Hail!

Our first ever single and video are out now.

You wanna watch it? Great. But also weird, because you probably already scrolled by it if you’re at this part of our home page. Unless for some reason you’re the type of person who skips a band’s home page and goes straight to ‘News.’

Is that your style? You’re probably a really interesting person. You should get in touch. Write us a letter. You’re weird, and that’s groovy with us.

Also, here’s the video:

First Sundays...

We are real excited to bring you our next First Sunday.
This particular First Sunday will be the First Sunday of July. Summer will be upon us. The 4th of July fireworks will be echoing in our watermelon-stained memories, and our noses will be full of coconut, banana, and whatever else sunscreen smells like nowadays.

And then evening will fall on July 7th (the First Sunday of July, good reader).

It will cool off here in near-coastal Petaluma. You’ll be weary and parched from a long Summer Sunday spent lounging and loafing. You’ll need a tall beverage and funky jams. You’ll wander down to The Big Easy with your posse/entourage/funky-savoire-faire.

We’re going to feature some real fun special guests - which is our goal every Sunday. This particular Sunday (as you waltz in, pull of your stylish shades, and pop your collar) you’ll be buckling in for the 8-string-guitar/bass-fingering-flurry that is Nate Lopez; the Stevie-Wonder-Harmonica stylings of Ben Dubin; the sweet, soulful voice of the lovely and wonderful Jen Benedetti (how’d she score this gig, you ask…).

It’s going to be a funky party celebrating great players in our midst. It’s gunna be full of super important stories that are 100% true.

It’ll be fun.

Come on out - First Sunday of July - and check it all out.

Welcome to our new Website.

Nice to see you. Thanks for dropping by.

We just went into the studio last week and recorded 4 very rad and tasty (read: succulent, savory, and finger-lickin… greasy, at times slightly spicy, and - of course - locally sourced, free-range, free-trade, and super duper organic. And deep fried.) jams.

We’ll share them here as soon as we can.
In the meantime - here’s a sneak peek featuring some fairly intense bass-solo-face from yours truly (Gio. It’s Gio writing this. You can tell from the really long parentheticals. It’s a style I stole from all of my favorite - usually British - writers.) and some very great playing by my cohorts, Zach, Alex and Nate.

Hope to see you at some shows.
